Creative direction, location scouting, post production/photo editing

Planetarium is an album about transience - with the band having recently moved to LA, the album was written in both Sydney and LA - where was home? Home became both places. To reflect this, I wanted the photoshoot to utilize a lot of slow shutter, intentionally blurry techniques. The photos were edited to have a filmic look as well, to give a sense of timelessness.

The locations chosen in the shoot were also specific - there are shots at the foot of the Hollywood Hills, one of LA’s most emblematic landmarks, shots in West Hollywood near Melrose and Fairfax, two of our favourite streets in LA for streetwear, and finally Griffith Observatory - one of the world’s most notable Planetariums.
